So other than today being the 240th Birthday of America’s Navy (Yay! Happy Birthday!) there has been a series of unfortunate events over in Jerusalem. Israel is our ally, right? Right. But recently with The Iran Deal it seems like the relationship has been slightly strained… and considering there has been little to no concern from our own President and even some of our own citizens over the last 30 or so hours about these terrible events really shows a lot (Hey.. MSNBC, where’s your coverage of this? OH THAT’S RIGHT! No where.). Yeah, it’s not our country and technically not our people. But these are our allies. We’re suppose to have their backs. Protect them. Step up if and when they need us. We have a common enemy here people… wake up and smell the terrorists please.  Considering the amount of Syrian refugees we’re taking in (mind you we have no idea who these people are), what happened today can happen on our own soil. So do we wait until that day.. or do we do something now? Do something Barack.

Oh. Wait. Something like this has. On multiple occasions. But no one seems to bat an eyelash anymore. Because Bush did 9/11 right guys? It’s our own fault and we were definitely asking for people to die. And the Chattanooga shooting was in no way shape or form terrorism (The shooter’s blog post from a few days before the shooting is a little suspicious…). Iran even has a National Holiday to express their discontent for Israel and our’s existent. Boy Oh Boy how exciting! Many of these individuals have made their hatred very clear for many many years. It’s seriously time for everyone to wake up and realize that terrorism (ISIS included) is a problem and it needs to be dealt with before more lives are lost (and I mean innocent lives).

So anyway, back to what happened today just in case some of you watch The View all day. Unless you stay up to date with current events then gold star for you! If you want to check out the live blogging go for it.

Four terrorist attacks in the span of 12 hours on Monday have brought Jerusalem to its highest state of alert in years…police briefly shut the entrance to the city after a Palestinian man on an Egged bus stabbed an IDF soldier before being shot dead…A 13-year-old Jewish boy remains in critical condition after two Palestinian teenagers stabbed him nearly a dozen times in Jerusalem’s Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood… a Palestinian woman was shot after stabbing a Border Police officer near the capital’s police headquarters… a Palestinian terrorist was shot and killed near Lion’s Gate, in the Arab Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City, after attempting to stab a Border Police officer.

Way too much blood being spilled here out of hatred.

Three people have been killed and as many as 17 others injured – some of them seriously – in two near-simultaneous terrorist attacks in Jerusalem.

There is a video of the second attack that occurred today. Watch it here.

Just horrible.

Just discovered: check out this video of a Palestinian  who accidentally set himself on fire when trying to throw a firebomb at Israeli Forces -> Watch it here. Maybe not so much of an awesome fail, but karma is definitely…

Anyway due to these attacks, Israel has decided that it will loosen its gun policy and allow citizens to arm themselves with guns, in order to protect themselves.

And yes, Palestinians are also fearing for their lives.

Palestinians say they worry they could be victims of revenge attacks.

This is an understandable fear. But the effects of the immense amount of terrorism over the years, including these incidents, has instilled fear in everyone else. What else are people suppose to do?

Who do we trust anymore? Who can Israel trust? Who respects our country and who doesn’t? Who wants us all alive? Who wants us all dead? No one can be sure anymore. These are dangerous times we live in with terrorism a looming threat worldwide. This is an all out war against terrorism and we need to be ready to protect ourselves.

I mean… let’s talk about how many ISIS members probably exist.

Scary… right?

The head of the FBI told Senate lawmakers on Wednesday that more than 200 Americans have tried to join Islamic extremists in Iraq and Syria.

I am genuinely scared and worried for the future of our country, our people, for Israel and it’s people and for other countries and their innocent people as well. We can’t trust just anyone anymore. We can’t even trust our own president to do the right thing… his genius Iran Deal violates Federal Law and he has yet to make a statement about the tragedies that took place on the soil of our ally.

Get out of the White House Obama. You’re not doing your damn job.

UPDATE: I was scrolling through Facebook this morning and came across this article talking about the reasoning behind the terrorist attacks in Israel. I’ll be looking more into it later but I thought I would provide this article for people to read. -> Read it here.

  1. Hi Alissa,

Thank you for your blog posts. I share your concerns for this country and indeed the world. We are entering into a new age of barbarism chanting the mantra of equality. Ultimately, there are only two forms of equality open to mankind: the equality of total destruction and death, i.e., the lowest common denominator OR the equality of good will towards each other.

If equality is based in law or force, the only possible outcome is death on a massive scale. “All animals are equal (but some are more equal than others)”. This is why those who demand equality (you fellow students, for one) will stop at nothing to subdue contrary opinion They are “right” and you are not. Therefore you must be silenced. The same type of process can be seen in the Israeli/ “Palestinian” conflict where terrorists remorselessly, relentlessly attack innocents abroad and in Israel. Screaming about being victims, they victimize soft targets through stealth tactics, overwhelming a larger population in terror if they don’t get their way and then destroying larger populations if they do get their way.

In a sense, what you see at work in the conflict between conservatives and liberal/progressives is modeled well by the Hegelian/Marxist dialectic of thesis, antithesis and synthesis. Conservatives hold on to the thesis, desperately trying to preserve society and order with its faults. Liberals, by the nature of their world view, cannot live with the thesis, always looking for and demanding change, antithesis. In order to stop the chaos they create, conservatives will always give up some portion of what they protect to gain a modicum of stability and order, creating a synthesis which becomes the new thesis. What they never seem to realize until it is too late is that what has changed because of liberal action is of no interest or satisfaction to them: it is the change itself and the power to inflict it that motivates them. Every new synthesis for them is a goad to attack more ardently, until the whole process moves from the real to the surreal and society is no longer tenable.

Only when equality is based in good will, in the love, I believe, of God first and through that love, the loving of our fellows will there be any chance of true equality. Until such time, truth will have no functional meaning and peace will be a pipe dream.

Keep up the your great blog and best to you,

    Charlie
